Friday, May 10

Theft

Michael William Handlon, 32, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Oregon Avenue, police said. He was charged with theft/stolen and transported to Will County Jail.

Possession of controlled substance

Erick Joel Vazquez, 22, was arrested at 10:34 p.m. near Bonteon Avenue and North Main Street, police said. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and transported to DuPage County Jail. 

Saturday, May 11

Battery

John Patrick McCarthy, 19, was arrested at 3:04 a.m. in the 800 block of South Burlington, police said. He was charged with battery and transported to DuPage County Jail. 

Suspended/revoked license

Khari Yusufu Buchanan, 41, was arrested at 12:04 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and Fender Avenue, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. He posted bond. 

DUI

• Victor Lee Otis, 42, was arrested at 12:39 a.m. in the 1500 block of South Washington Street, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He posted bond. 
• James Artis Clayborn, 48, was arrested at 3:11 a.m. near 75th Street and South Naper Boulevard, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He posted bond. 
• John Steven Vetter, 54, was arrested at 11:51 p.m. near 75th Street and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He posted bond. 

No insurance

Issa Atef Sweis, 35, was arrested at 12:55 a.m. in the 3000  lock of 11th Street, police said. He was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance. He was released to another agency. 

No driver's license

Jose L. Rodriguez, 20, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. near Olympus Drive and South Washington Street, police said. He was charged with no driver's license. He posted bond. 

Disorderly conduct

Ludie Iverson, 21, was arrested at 3:28 p.m. in the 400 block of East Bailey Road, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct. He posted bond.

No insurance

• Isaiah Timothy Young, 23, was arrested at 12:33 a.m. near Aurora Avenue and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance. 
• Guadalupe Beltran, 25, was arrested at 12:59 a.m. near Meridian Park and North Route 59, police said. She was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance. She posted bond. 
• Rodimiro Velasquez, 25, was arrested at 12:05 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance. He posted bond. 

Possession of cannabis

• Danielius Griskevicius, 18, was arrested at 12:32 a.m. near 95th Street and 248th Avenue, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis. He posted bond.
• Niko Jovan Santillan, 20, was arrested at 11:36 p.m. in the 700 block of Greenwood Circle, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis. He posted bond.

DUI

Anthony L. Burks, 28, was arrested at 6:18 a.m. near Freedom Drive and East I-88, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He posted bond. 

Retail theft

Malcom Xavier McSwain, 19, was arrested at 1:02 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 75th Street, police said. He was charged with retail theft. He posted bond. 

Suspended/revoked license

• Cynthia Maria Munday, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and West Jefferson Avenue, police said. She was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. She posted bond. 
• Someone pried open coin operated washing machines and dryers and removed change in the 1200 block of Chalet Road, police said.

No school spirit 

Someone knocked on a door in the 100 block of South West Street and removed high school sports signs from the home owner's lawn and placed them into a bush.

Change stolen

A woman took another woman's purse into a restroom and stole $10 in change from it in the 300 block of North Washington Street, police said.

Underage drinking

An underage drinking party was broken up int he 100 block of South Loomis Street, police said. 

Mailbox blown up

A man reported that his mailbox was blown up with an explosive device in the 2000 block of Palmer Drive, police said. 

Drug overdose

A white male was taken to Edward Hospital for a drug overdose, police said. 

Mailbox destroyed

A mailbox was destroyed overnight in the 800 block of Muirhead Avenue, police said.

Wallet stolen

A wallet was taken from a purse while a woman was playing bingo at a senior center in the 300 block of Jackson Avenue, police said.

Brick through windshield

Someone threw a brick through a windshield in the 1800 block of LaSalle Avenue, police said.
