Man, 19, Accused Of Burglarizing Home On Blakely Lane

NAPERVILLE, IL — A 19-year-old Naperville man is accused of breaking into a car, taking a garage door opener and using it to burglarize a home on Blakely Lane.

Connor S. Cichy was charged with felony burglary and residential burglary in connection with Tuesday's incident.

According to police, residents heard noises around 1:30 a.m. and found that their garage door was partly open and someone had taken keys from their mudroom. Cichy is accused of burglarizing a car in the driveway, getting into the home's garage, and then taking a set of car keys from the mudroom.

Police say they found Cichy not far from the home and that he had "burglary tools and burglary proceeds on his person," per a news release.
