Man Dies After Being Pulled From Water At Centennial Beach: Naperville Park District

NAPERVILLE, IL — A man died Thursday evening after he was pulled from the water at Centennial Beach, the Naperville Park District said in a statement.

The man, 27, was found unconscious in the water around 6 p.m. at Centennial Beach, 500 W. Jackson Ave., the park district said.

He was taken to Endeavor Health Edward Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

"Out of respect for the individual’s family and pending further investigation, the Park District will not be providing any further comment," park district Executive Director Brad Wilson said in the statement.

Centennial Beach will remain closed on Friday following the incident.
