More Than 3 Dozen Events Planned For National Night Out In Naperville
The events will be held Aug. 5 in communities throughout Naperville.

NAPERVILLE, IL — More than three dozen block parties and neighborhood events are planned for National Night Out in Naperville on Aug. 5. A community kickoff event is planned for Aug. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Fry Family YMCA.
The free kickoff event will feature live music, a bounce house and a movie showing. Police cars and equipment will be on display for attendees to view. Food will be available for purchase.
On Aug. 5, members of the Naperville Police Department will visit more than 39 cookouts and other events throughout the city. The events will take place between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Follow the link for more details on Naperville National Night Out Events.

National Night Out got its start in 1984 as an initiative to build relationships between community members and local police departments. Now, events are held throughout the U.S. during the first Tuesday in August each year.
