NaperLights To Brighten Downtown Naperville With Over 250,000 Lights
A 16-foot tree with animated lights is the newest feature of the 2025 NaperLights display, which opens on Thanksgiving.

NAPERVILLE, IL — NaperLights will kick off its 2025 season on Thanksgiving, illuminating Water Street and the nearby Riverwalk with more than 250,000 lights creating festive holiday displays, including a new 16-foot tree at Jaycees Park.
Visitors will also see some of their old favorites, including a giant, illuminated bear, ice-skating polar bears and singing trees. Along Water Street and in Foyo Plaza, lights will blink in time with holiday tunes that can be heard over the DuPage River.
On select nights, Santa Claus himself will swoop into NaperLights to greet children. He's set to be there between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Dec. 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21, if the weather cooperates.

The Water Street Holiday Stroll is planned for Dec. 7 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with Santa and an elf on hand, along with a balloon twister and complimentary hot chocolate and cookies.
The NaperLights shows begin nightly at 4 p.m. and end at 10 p.m.
