Naperville Holds Onto AAA Bond Rating

NAPERVILLE, IL — Once again, Naperville has kept its AAA bond rating from Standard & Poor. The city also maintained an Aaa rating from Moody's Investors Service.

City officials say Naperville has maintained these ratings for nearly three decades. Standard & Poor's report praised Naperville for its:

  • "Robust, growing economy"
  • "Consistently stable financial operating results"
  • "Low debt levels"
  • "Sophisticated and knowledgeable management team"

The report from Moody's highlighted Naperville's "large economic base and broad revenue raising, adding that "Naperville will continue to benefit from a large and growing economic base, supported by significant ongoing residential, commercial, and industrial development."
