New Farmers Market To Debut With Free Classes At Naper Settlement
In addition to fresh produce, flowers and other items, the farmers market will offer free classes and feature live music.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville is set to get another weekly farmers market this summer. Starting June 25, the Naper Settlement Farmers Market will offer fresh produce, artisanal items, free classes and more on Tuesdays throughout the summer.
Each market will run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Naper Settlement, with a roster of more than two dozen vendors. Acoustic musicians will play country and bluegrass tunes starting at 4 p.m.

- Aug. 20: The Woolly Buggers

- Sept. 3: DB's Acoustic Duo
- Sept. 10: Truman's Trio
- Sept. 17: River Valley Rangers Duo
The festivities will also feature food truck items courtesy of Billy Bricks and Hello Boba.
“Naperville’s strong roots in agriculture make the Naper Settlement Farmers Market the perfect place for the community to connect with local farmers and artisans and learn about their role in agriculture,” Rena Tamayo-Calabrese, president and CEO at Naper Settlement, said in a statement.

The schedule of free classes is as follows, with each hour-long class starting at 5 p.m.

Tamayo-Calabrese added, “With an array of goods from local vendors, live music, educational programming, and more, the market will create a lively and engaging atmosphere for all ages while honoring the important role that farming has played in Naperville’s history. By participating in the agriculture-based educational classes and activities, visitors will see how they can make a difference while learning about sustainable practices, gardening techniques, and more."
