NAPERVILLE, IL — At its Feb. 27 meeting, Naperville Park District board members unanimously approved a measure to purchase more than $99,000 worth of new playground equipment for White Eagle Park.

In addition to new playground features, the money will fund the construction of a new picnic area. Both the playground equipment and picnic shelter are set to be purchased via Sourcewell, a purchasing network that connects the park district with providers of such items, per board documents.

Funds for the upgrades will come from the $350,000 that has been allotted for the White Eagle Playground Renovation project.
