'A Pint For Kim' Blood Drive Brings Music, Carnival Fun To Naperville

The May 11 blood drive festival honors the memory of Kimberley Benedyk Sandford, a Naperville resident who died of a rare cancer in 2020.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Once again, A Pint for Kim won't be your average blood drive. Slated for May 11, the event features live music, a carnival, food trucks (including Rainbow Cone!) and other activities to honor the memory of Kimberley Benedyk Sandford, a Naperville resident who died of a rare cancer in 2020.

Donors will get tickets to be entered into a drawing that promises prizes valued at more than $30,000. The blood drive will be conducted by Versiti Blood Centers. Click the link to reserve a spot to donate blood.

This year marks the 5th A Pint for Kim & Life Saving Celebration. The "A Pint for Kim" was first held in March 2020, with some 500 people showing up to donate blood just days after Sandford's death.
