Police Blotter: Damaged Siding and Vehicle Burglaries

Tuesday, Sept. 6

Vehicle burglary

  • Ian James Haak, 29, of the 1500 block of Watkins Lane, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. in the 2500 block of Versailles Avenue on a charge of burglary, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • A 25-year-old man in the 1200 block of Chalet Road reported that between 6 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday, his driver-side window was shattered and a passenger compartment was rifled through but nothing was stolen, police said.
  • A 40-year-old man in the 1400 block of Spartina Road, reported that a dual-monitor DVD player was stolen from a vehicle between 10 p.m. Sunday and 12 p.m. Monday, police said.
  • A 26-year-old woman in the 600 block of South Route 59 said an unlocked vehicle was entered between 5 and 6 p.m. Monday and a laptop and clothing were taken, police said.

False reporting

Mishel Zotaj, 19, of the 700 block of Inland Circle, and (removed), were arrested at 12:03 a.m. and 12:01 a.m. respectively, in the 40 block of West Van Buren Avenue, on a charges of false reporting an offense, police said. The pair reported to police that they were robbed. But the men attempted to buy drugs and had their money stolen, according to police. Bail for each man was $1,500.

Reckless driving

Miguel Angel Orrala, 41, of the 700 block of Sexton Street, Aurora, was arrested at 1:47 p.m. in the 4000 block of Juneberry on charges of reckless driving, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving without a license. His bail was $2,000.

Warrant arrest

  • Patricia Eileen Mack, 48, whose last known address was in the 800 block of South Adams, Westmont, was arrested at 7:23 p.m. in the 1400 block of Naperville-Wheaton Road and East Ogden Avenue on a failure-to-appear warrant, police said. She was taken to the Will County Jail.
  • Moheb Ahmadi, 20, of the 3600 block of Downers Drive, Downers Grove, was arrested at 5:02 p.m. in the 1900 block of 95th Street on a warrant from DuPage County. His bail was $3,000.

Speeding

Michael Jerome Bucko, 18, of the 3800 block of S. 57th Court, Cicero, was arrested at 11:16 p.m. at 75th Street and Wehrli Road on charges of speeding more than 40 miles over the limit and driving without insurance.

Driving under the influence

Aminda Aguilar Hernandez, 30, of the 1000 block of Terrace Lake Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 12:12 a.m. at Montgomery Road and South Route 59, Aurora, on charges of improper lane use, failing to signal, speeding over the limit and driving under the influence. Her bail was $3,000.

Suspended/revoked license

Michelle B. Andrews, 29, of the 900 block of Lafayette, Aurora, was arrested at 5:04 p.m. in the 1600 block of West Diehl Road and North Route 59 on a charge of driving on a suspended/revoked license. Her bail was $1,500.

Criminal damage to property

A 51-year-old woman in the 1600 block of Vincent Court reported Tuesday that between April 19 and April 20, eggs were thrown at her siding, causing $11,600 in damage, police said.
