Police Blotter: Disorderly Conduct, Yard Waste at School Goes Up in Smoke

Monday, June 25

Driving under the influence

Chelsea Marie Cirino, 20, of the 2600 block of Lindrick Lane in Aurora, was arrested at 12:12 a.m. near 83rd Street and South Route 59, said. She was charged with improper lane use, consumption of liquor by a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bail was $3,000.

Retail theft 

Brad Kirk Vanslooten, 45, of the 3700 block of West Addison Street in Chicago, was arrested at 7:59 p.m. in the first block of Plaza Drive in Woodridge, police said. He was charged with retail theft. His bail was $30,000.

Disorderly conduct

Karega Khinua Scott, 38, of the 5600 block of Bergamot Court, was arrested at 9:40 p.m. in the 5500 block of Kanlow Drive, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct and battery/bodily harm. His bail was $1,500.

Warrant arrest

  • Brandon Demetrius Cole, 30, of the 700 block of Superior Court, was arrested at 12:15 p.m. in the 1900 block of Glacier Park Avenue, police said. He was charged on a failure-to-appear warrant.
  • Fernando Gonzalez, 27, of the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive, was arrested at 11:49 p.m. near La Salle Avenue and North Route 59, police said. He was charged with no driver’s license, operating a vehicle without insurance, a failure to appear warrant and driving with an obstructed windshield. His bail was $2,000.

Fry's yard waste gets fried

Someone set fire to a yard waste bag near the rear of , which melted a plastic drain pipe attached to the school in the 3200 block of Tall Grass Drive, police said. 

BB gun bandits

  • A window was shot and damaged by a BB in the 2800 block of Collins Court, police said.
  • Someone shot a hole in a bedroom window with bb gun in the 200 block of Elmwood Drive, police said.

Return to sender

A mailbox was stolen in the 1000 block of East Hillside Road, police said.

Graffiti

The word "snow" was written on a traffic sign near North Avenue and North Charles Avenue, police said.
