Police Blotter: Possession of Cannabis, DUI, Trespassing

Thursday, June 14

Driving under the influence

  • Steven J. Potter, 55, of the 500 block of Chamberlain Lane, was arrested at 1:13 a.m. near Aurora Avenue and South Whispering Hills Drive, said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and operating a vehicle without insurance. His bond was $300. 
  • Jill Marie Peterson, 29, of the 1000 block of West Ogden Avenue, was arrested at 1:40 a.m. near East Diehl Road and Centre Point Circle, police said. She was charged with a traffic control violation and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bond was $300.

Possession of cannabis

Christopher M. Aleaga, 18, of the 3200 block of Treyburn Road, was arrested at 2:18 a.m. in the 3400 block of South Route 59, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, improper left turn and possession of cannabis. His bond was $150.

Battery

Quinlan Lamar Porter, 30, of the 13600 block of South Crawford Avenue in Robbins, was arrested at 6:28 a.m. in the 100 block of Ambassador Drive, police said. He was charged with battery/bodily harm and battery. His bond was $1,500.

Criminal trespass

L. Marija Norkuniene-Bradbury, 57, of the 7800 block of West 39th Street in Lyons, was arrested at 11:43 p.m. in the 300 block of Center Street, police said. She was charged with criminal trespass to land, interfering with an officer and fighting. Her bond was $120.

Lost, found and vandalized bikes

  • A blue bike was found in the 1700 block of Coach Drive, police said.
  • An orange and white Mongoose Mountain bike was taken in the 3000 block of Cedar Glade Drive, police said.
  • A bike was either vandalized or attempted to be stolen as the seat and front wheel were bent in the 500 block of East Bailey Road, police said. 

Property damage

Two fire extinguisher cabinets were damaged, one extinguisher was discharged, and a third cabinet was kicked but not discharged in the first block of West Van Buren Avenue, police said.

Ring and wedding band found

A ring and wedding band were turned into the police department, police said.

Cats lost and found

  • A lost cat was turned into the police department, police said.
  • A neutered white and brown male cat with no claws, collar or chip was reported lost in the 800 block of Beaumont Drive, police said.

Wallet found

Wallet was found in the grass and turned into police department.

Vehicle burglary

A vehicle was burglarized in the 200 block of North Whispering Hills Road, police said.
