Police Blotter: Retail Theft, Lost iPhone, Marijuana Paraphernalia Found

Retail theft

Marcus Marikes Griggs, 19, was arrested at 2:48 p.m. in the 700 block of South Route 59, police said. He was charged with retail theft. He posted bond. 

No insurance

  • Alejandro Uribe, 22, was arrested at 4:31 p.m. near Route 59 and West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance. He posted bond. 
  • Blake Francis Kerns, 30, was arrested at 10:05 p.m. near North Aurora Road and North Route 59, police said. He was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance. He posted bond. 

Lost iPhone

An iPhone was reported lost in a church parking lot in the 1100 block of Olesen Drive, police said.

Lost ID

An ID card from Mexico was reported lost about three weeks ago in the 700 block of Inland Drive, police said.

Pipe found

A resident reported witnessing a white, male teenager driving a silver four-door vehicle at the Ashbury Aquatic Center Parking lot in the 3400 block of Lawrence Drive. The teen exited his vehicle and hid a cannabis pipe behind a tree, police said. The pipe was collected and submitted to police evidence.
