Driving without insurance
Romulo Hernandez, 20, of the 1600 block of Windsor Court, West Chicago, was arrested at 12:46 a.m. in the 400 block of South Route 59 and Aurora Avenue, . He was charged with driving without a license, violating a traffic control device and driving without insurance. His bail was $2,000.
Driving under the influence
- Karen Lee McKinney, 49, of the 300 block of South Birchwood Drive, was arrested at 9:28 p.m. at South Birchwood Drive and Aurora Avenue, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bail was $3,000.
- Jayesh JV Chitnis, 23, of the 600 block of North Ellsworth Street, was arrested at 1:21 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Jefferson and Douglas avenues, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a suspended/revoked license and improper lane use. His bail was $3,000.
Obstructing identification
Ashlei L. Smith, 43, of the 200 block of North Quincy, Bradley, was arrested at 8:38 p.m. at West 87th Street and Plainfield-Naperville Road, police said. She was charged with making an improper turn at an intersection, driving with a suspended license and obstructing identification. Her bail was $1,500.
Warrant service
Gregory Nakia Edmonds, 36, of the 200 block of Trask Street, Aurora, was arrested at 10:16 p.m. in the 1600 block of West Diehl Road on an original warrant from the Montgomery Police Department for possession of cannabis. He was released to another law enforcement agency, according to police.

Criminal damage
- Someone reported that a Bobcat was spray-painted on all sides at River Road and West Jefferson Avenue, police said. The word “sorry” was spray-painted in black.
- A 69-year-old man reported that a window in the 1600 block of Pebblewood Lane was broken sometime in the last two weeks, police said.
Theft
- A 50-year-old man in the 700 block of East Chicago Avenue reported that his backpack was stolen between noon and 1 p.m., police said.
- A 71-year-old woman in the 1600 block of Indian Knoll Road reported that a lawn ornament was stolen sometime between Oct. 1 and Nov. 11, police said.
