Police Blotter: Stolen Sleep Aids, Shirts; Gym Shoes Set Ablaze
Naperville Police Department reports for Aug. 15.

Warrant arrest
- Ernesto Hernandez-Tapia, 53, of the 500 block of Iowa Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. at 111th and S. Route 59, police said. He was charged with driving an uninsured vehicle, driving without a license, failing to yield and on two warrants. His bail was set at $2,000.
- Chrystal Denise Otis, 24, of the 300 block of Dean Circle, Bolingbrook was arrested at 2:04 p.m. in the 600 block of S. Route 59 where she was charged on a warrant, police said.
Contributing to delinquency of a minor
- Alberto Romo, 19, of the 12000 block of Parterre Place, Plainfield, was charged at 12:48 a.m. in the 1200 block of Calico Avenue where he was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor for hosting a party, police said. His bond was set at $120.
- Giovanni Romo, 22, of the 40 block of Jericho Road, Big Rock, was arrested at 12:48 a.m. in the 1200 block of Calico Avenue where he was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor for hosting a party, police said. His bond was set at $120.
- Stanley Joseph Wisz, 20, of the 1300 block of Chestnut Drive, was arrested at 7:55 p.m. at his home where he was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor for hosting a party.
Driving under the influence
Matthew James Lamont, 32, of the 300 block of Cedar Street, Ephraim, Wis., was arrested at 1:15 a.m. in the 900 block of E. Ogden Avenue and Wisconsin Street, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use. His bail was set at $3,000.
Retail theft
Jorge Toledo, 22, of the 3200 block of Timber Creek Lane, was arrested at 2:14 a.m. in the 2800 block of 95th Street where he was charged with retail theft, police said. His bail was set at $1,500.
Vehicle burglary
A 58-year-old man in the 1100 block of Bayhill Avenue reported that between 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday a GPS, cash and sleep aid products were stolen, police said.

Found property
A 62-year-old woman in the 3400 block of Scottsdale Circle reported at 9:30 a.m. finding kitchen utensils in the parkway, police said.
Theft
A 51-year-old woman in the 1000 block of Amberwood Circle reported that between 10 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday a man entered her home during an estate sale and stole about 40 shirts from her son’s bedroom, police said.

Arson
A 44-year-old man in the 3100 block of Deering Bay Drive reported that at 10 p.m. Friday someone soaked gym shoes in diesel fuel and set them on fire in the front yard near the siding causing more than $150 in damage, police said.
