Rick Springfield to Headline 2013 Ribfest
Grammy award-winning Rick Springfield to perform at this year's annual summer festival.

It's official, Naperville Ribfest has announced Rick Springfield as the headlining act for this summer's annual festival.
The Exchange Club of Naperville and the 2013 Ribfest Committee announced that the Grammy award-winning Springfield will headline the 2013 Ribfest on July 6 in Knoch Park.

The 26th annual Ribfest runs from July 3 through 7 and will have plenty of family activities, live music and, of course, rib vendors from across the country. All proceeds from Ribfest go to support the elimination of Child Abuse and Domestic Violence, according to the Exchange Club of Naperville.
“We are excited to include Rick Springfield to the line-up for Ribfest this year," said Ribfest Chair Marty Walker in a press release. "I know that there will be a many happy females in the crowd to see Rick Springfield giving his rendition of Jessie’s Girl.”

Springfield has sold 25 million albums sold and 17 top-40 hits, including “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,” “I've Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody” and “Human Touch,” as well as a 1981 Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal win for “Jessie’s Girl.”
Springfield is the second announcement for Ribfest 2013 entertainment. STYX will be the opening act on July 3.
