NAPERVILLE, IL — Smash burger tacos have become a permanent item at Old Town Pour House, amid the eatery's recent revamp of its menu. The restaurant also added bowls to its menu, an option "[w]e think our guests will really embrace," Bottleneck Management Chief Marketing Officer Angela Zoiss told Patch.

According to Bottleneck, the new menu focuses on "fresh, chef-driven dishes with options" and includes alternatives for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-sensitive diners.

"We pay attention to what our guests love – and what they don’t – and let that guide us," Zoiss said.

"We ran [the Smash Burger tacos] as a limited time offer earlier this year and our guests absolutely loved them," she said. "They were upset when they were no longer available, so adding them to the permanent menu was a no-brainer."

Featured items on the upcoming menu range from smoked meat loaf sliders, hot honey flatbread and a carnivore flatbread that comes topped with smoked ham, pepperoni, bacon lardons, Italian sausage, marinara, arugula and fresh mozzarella.

The new bowls include a Thai noodle chili bowl, a Tex Mex protein bowl and a tuna poke bowl.

In addition to new food items, Old Town Pour House is offering new drinks. The summer-inspired selection features a bourbon raspberry lemon fizz and a blueberry-infused gin and tonic. Old Town Pour House is also adding more nonalcoholic options, such as the cucumber cure, made with Ritual gin alternative.

"We like doing menu changes once or twice a year to keep our offerings fresh," Zoiss said.

The new menu will debut on April 30.
