Spread Cheer At Toy, Food Drive On Water Street In Naperville

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville residents can get a headstart on spreading holiday cheer by making a donation at a food and toy drive that will be held on Water Street to benefit West Suburban Community Pantry.

Volunteers will be on hand at Foyo Plaza between Main and Webster to take drive-up donations. The following items are needed:

  • New, unwrapped toys and books for kids up to 12 years old
  • Apple, cherry or pumpkin pie filling
  • Boxed potatoes
  • Canned or instant gravy
  • Canned cranberries and canned cranberry sauce
  • Canned soup
  • Canned vegetables
  • Diapers and baby wipes

“The Pantry has put out an urgent call for help as the demand for support is surging just as the cost of food is skyrocketing,” Deb Newman, spokesperson for Water Street, said in a statement.

Newman added, “We love supporting anything that supports families in our area. This is a great chance to help parents, children and seniors struggle a bit less over the holidays. We think it’s a great kickoff to the holiday season on Water Street.”
