'Suspected Human Remains' In Car Pulled From Lake Tied To Missing Person Case
Police say the car found in Lake Osborne Thursday is linked to a missing persons case from 2003.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Suspected human remains found in a car that was pulled from Lake Osborne Thursday may be linked to a decades-old missing person case in Berwyn. In a joint news release, officials from the Naperville and Berwyn Police Departments said the car's license plate number ties it to 21-year-old Hiep Luu, who disappeared in 2003.
The car was found in the southwest part of Lake Osborne Thursday around 11 a.m. by divers who were conducting a training exercise for the Naperville Fire Department. Crews removed the submerged car just after 3:30 p.m. and it was identified as a 1992 Nissan Maxima.
The DuPage County Coroner's Office is working to identify the remains found in the car.
