Tax Hikes Expected For Homeowners In Districts 203, 204

Both District 203 and District 204 voted in favor of tax levies, according to the Chicago Tribune.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Homeowners in Districts 203 and 204 will see an increase in their property taxes after both districts voted in favor of tax levies, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Naperville Community Unit School District 203 approved an annual tax levy of just over $304 million. Indian Prairie School District 204 approved an annual tax levy of $347 million.

For homeowners in District 203, it's estimated the collected tax levy will be around 3.8 percent. District 204 homeowners will see an increase of around 3.4 percent in property taxes, per Chicago Tribune.

District 203 plans to use the funds for operational costs, transportation and educational needs, including special education. Fresh off the heels of voters approving a $420 million bond referendum to fund facility upgrades, District 204 aims to use the levied funds to support services and operational expenses.
