Teach Young and Old Dogs, Cats New Tricks
Check out a few of the adoptable pets waiting for homes at the Naperville Area Humane Society and Animals Deserving of Proper Treatment.
George
George is a 2-year-old male domestic shorthair who was surrendered due to allergies. He is a very affectionate and vocal kitty who will let you know when he’s looking for attention. He is also very playful and would do well with a very lively home with kids of all ages. He did live with another cat, so he may do well in a home that already has a cat or a cat savvy dog. Stop by soon to meet George. You can find him living the good life and greeting visitors in the front lobby.
Shiloh
Shiloh is a 6-month-old retriever mix that was transferred from another shelter due to lack of space. She is a super sweet and affectionate girl who trains easily with treats. She loves her belly rubs and playing with toys. As she can be a bit shy at first, kids in her new home should be at least 8 years old. She would be good with a dog savvy cat and does get along with dogs on the calm side. Come on in to meet this adorable girl. She won’t be here long!
More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed and neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit us at 1620 W. Diehl Road in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org.

Background: Owner give-up - at A.D.O.P.T. since March, 2012.
Personality: When Louise first came to A.D.O.P.T. she was so scared that she couldn’t even eat. She received lots of love and attention from all the staff and her friend Thelma who since has been adopted. Right now, life is looking pretty good. She is in the largest of our free-roaming rooms watching the antics of all her other cat friends. She is active, likes to cuddle and is pretty good at keeping herself occupied. Need a friend who is there when you need her – she can be found waiting for you in the Sun Room.
