NAPERVILLE, IL — The Ulta Beauty store in downtown Naperville is set to close for good by the end of March, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Located at 103 S. Washington St., the Naperville Ulta Beauty is one of over 1,400 stores the Bolingbrook-based company has throughout the United States. In early 2021, Ulta Beauty laid off a "meaningful" share of employees amid efforts to reset the chain's "corporate cost structure."

The closure comes just months after Barnes & Noble shuttered its longstanding Naperville store. When asked about the Ulta store's closure, Downtown Naperville Alliance Director Katie Wood told Chicago Tribune closure that "downtown Naperville is not insulated from the natural cycle of retail."
