Woman Killed In Fiery Crash; Young Relative Escapes: Police

The 38-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A Naperville woman died Monday night in a fiery crash, police said, adding a young relative escaped.

Amanda Baratka, 38, was traveling south on Wehrli Road when her 2018 Toyota Rav 4 left the road, hit two light poles and came to rest on a residential driveway on Auburn Avenue, where the vehicle caught fire, police said. Baratka was still inside the SUV when crews put out the fire and she was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

A young female family member escaped the vehicle uninjured, police said.
