Woodridge Man Killed In Motorcycle Vs. Car Crash In Naperville

The crash took place Friday night near Chicago Avenue and Naper Boulevard.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A 26-year-old Woodridge man was killed in a motorcycle-car crash in Naperville Thursday night. Dante Fields was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which took place near the intersection of Naper Boulevard and Chicago Avenue around 9:30 p.m., according to a news release.

Police say a preliminary investigation indicates Fields was driving a 2024 Suzuki motorcycle east on Chicago Avenue "at a high rate of speed" and crossed the Naper Boulevard intersection "on a solid green light," per the news release.

A 2024 VinFast sports utility vehicle was hit by the Suzuki as it turned left from Maple Avenue onto Naper Boulevard, according to police.

Responding officers and firefighters attempted to revive Fields before he was pronounced dead.

Charges have not been filed and the crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Naperville Police Department at 630-420-8833.
