SUNDAY, APRIL 28

Improper Turn Leads To DUI Charge

Michael Gibson, 24, of the 3300 block of Navajo Drive, New Lenox, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, making an improper turn and driving without insurance, according to a report. An officer saw a car make an improper turn at about 1:25 a.m. near the intersection of Apache and Pueblo drives. Gibson was arrested and taken to the Will County jail.

Failure to Yield To Emergency Vehicle

Tommie Brown, 34, of the 7300 block of South Kingston, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to yield to emergency vehicle and driving with a suspended license, according to a report. Police saw a vehicle fail to stop for an emergency vehicle at around 1:51 a.m. near the intersection of Route 30 and Washington Street. Brown was arrested and taken to the Will County jail.

Driving Without Lights On

Amy Spee, 30, of the 24300 block of Illini Court, Manhattan, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without lights when required and disobeying a traffic control device, according to a report. Police saw a car driving without lights on at about 3:22 a.m. near the intersection of Gougar Road and Ferro Driver and performed a traffic stop. Spee was released after posting bond.

Leaving The Scene Of A Crash

Carlos Juarez, 27, of the 800 block of Cypress Lane, Joliet, was charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a crash, improper lane use and driving without insurance, according to a report. An officer was called to McDonald's to investigate a crash where a driver fled the scene. Police caught up with the driver near on Route 30 near Interstate 80. Juarez was arrested and taken to the Will County jail.
