The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt.
Nov. 26
- Kelsey L. Meloy, 25, of New Lenox, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer on patrol saw a vehicle speeding in traffic. The officer conducted a traffic stop and met with the driver, Meloy. The officer learned that Meloy had a suspended driver’s license. Meloy was arrested and taken to the NLPD. She posted bond and was released.

- Steven W. Davis, 41, of New Lenox, was charged with assault. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Town Crest Drive for a report of a disturbance. The met with the complainant and learned that Davis was outside arguing with a landscaping crew about why they were there. The officer was told that Davis asked one of the landscapers to fight, and Davis had a large knife in his hands. The officers met with Davis, recovered the knife and placed him under arrest. Davis was transported to the NLPD. Davis posted bond and was released.
- Hailey A. Phillips, 19, of Joliet was charged with retail theft and obstructing identification. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to Walmart at 501 E. Lincoln Highway for a retail theft complaint. The officer met with an employee and learned that Phillips had taken approximately $114.94 worth of merchandise from the store. During the investigation, Phillips lied about her identity to the officer. Phillips was arrested and taken to the NLPD. She posted bond and was released.
- James S. Smoot, 67, of New Lenox, was charged with driving under the influence. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to the area of U.S. Route 30 and Schoolhouse Road for a reckless driving complaint. The officer was told that the vehicle was swerving and almost hit a guard rail. The officer located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The officer met with the driver, Smoot and learned that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. Smoot was arrested and taken to NLPD. He posted bond and was released.
Nov. 29
- Michael S. Schubert, 46, of Bourbonnais, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer on patrol saw a vehicle with expired registration in traffic. The officer conducted a traffic stop and met with the driver, Schubert. The officer learned that Schubert had a suspended driver’s license. Schubert was arrested and taken to the NLPD. He posted bond and was released.

- Luis A. Osorio, 18, of Carol Stream, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer on patrol saw a vehicle with improper lighting in traffic. The officer conducted a traffic stop and met with the driver, Osorio. The officer learned that Osorio had a suspended driver’s license. Osorio arrested and taken to the NLPD. Osorio posted bond and was released.
Dec. 1
- Andre A. Wilson, 42, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence and driving while license revoked. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched at approximate 3:08 a.m. to the area of Gougar Road and Francis Road for a report of a reckless driving. The officer located the vehicle and saw it commit a moving violation in traffic. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and met with the driver, Wilson. The officer learned that Wilson had a revoked driver’s license and that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. Wilson was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Wilson was transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
- Brandon J. Felkamp, 27, of Kankakee, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. According to police reports, an officer on patrol saw a vehicle in traffic with an equipment violation. The officer conducted a traffic stop and met with the driver, Felkamp. The officer learned that Felkamp had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest. The warrant was out of Oak Forest. Felkamp arrested and taken to the NLPD. Felkamp was transferred to the custody of Oak Forest Police Department.
