Auction Fundraiser For High School Scholarships Announced

NEW LENOX, IL — The Lincoln-Way Area Business Women's Organization is scheduled to host its annual Christmas Auction fundraiser Dec. 1 at the New Lenox VFW, located at 323 Old Hickory Road in New Lenox. Tickets for the event are $25 and must be purchased in advance, according to LWABMO Publicity Chair Jennifer McManus.

The fundraising event helps provide money for scholarships for graduating high school senior girls and adult women, according to McManus. In 2020, LWABWO raised more than $20,000, which helped provide scholarships to 19 local students in the Lincoln-Way area, McManus said.

The fundraiser is scheduled to start with cocktails at 5 p.m., followed by a dinner at 6 p.m., with music and festivities throughout.
