Bash Your Pumpkin To Bits At New Lenox's First Ever Pumpkin Smash
The Village of New Lenox will host its inaugural Pumpkin Smash on Saturday, Nov. 4.
NEW LENOX, IL — After Halloween, your delicately carved and meticulously designed pumpkins might be left to collapse into a gooey pile on the porch, be tossed to the wildlife or trash can—or this year, perhaps something much more ... cathartic? Aggressive? Fun?
Maybe a little bit of all of the above?
The Village will host its first-ever Pumpkin Smash, set for Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the New Lenox Village Commons, as a method to break your prized orange baby into bits.

"Are you a toddler who likes to break things for no apparent reason?" the Village teased in an announcement. "Are you a teenager with hormones that are running absolutely wild that you need an outlet for? Are you an adult who is tired of adulting and could really use the cathartic release of smashing something to bits?"
Residents are invited to bring those post-Halloween pumpkins out to send them out in style.
