LifeSource of Chicago has set up a mobile unit in the Culver's Restaurant parking lot on Route 30 in New Lenox.
John Thomas of New Lenox was one of the first donors.
"It's just something I've always done. If you would ever be hospitalized, you would expect blood to be available."
