Car Stolen from Parking Lot on Silver Cross: Blotter

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10

Stolen Car

A car was reported stolen at about 1:48 p.m. from the 1900 block of Silver Cross Boulevard, according to a report. The car was stolen out of a parking lot. The theft remains under investigation.

Man Found In The Trash

Leon E. Scruggs, 50, no address given, was charged with criminal trespass to real property, according to a report. Officers were called at about 8:48 a.m. to the 1000 block of West Maple Road. A man was found in the garage, looking through the items. Scruggs was arrested without incident and released after posting bond.

TUESDAY, APRIL 9

Shoplifting Charge

Daniell M. Newbauer, 24, of the 18700 block of South Majorie Parkway in Mokena, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. An officer was called at about 6:44 a.m. to Wal-Mart, 501 E. Lincoln Hwy. Newbauer allegedly hide several items in reusable shopping bags and walked out without paying. She was released after posting bond.
