Cigarettes, Lottery Tickets Stolen In Gas Station Robbery: NLPD
The incident happened Friday, Jan. 10 at Route 6 Food N' Fuel, police said.
NEW LENOX, IL — Two men who robbed a New Lenox gas station of cigarettes and lottery tickets are believed to have been responsible for at least two similar occurrences.
Police were called Friday, Jan. 10 just before midnight to Route 6 Food N' Fuel, 2560 N. Cedar Rd., for a report of theft. An employee told police two men had entered the store, and one hopped over the counter. The man made threats to physically harm the employee if they did not get out of the way, according to police reports.
The men took cigarettes, lottery tickets, and liquor from the store. The cigarettes were valued at $3,500, police said. The suspects fled in a car. Further description of the suspects was not provided.

The employee was not injured, and a weapon was not used or displayed during the incident.
Police later learned the men were linked to similar crimes in Peotone and Chicago.
