These are the top five stories that tapped the heart of the matter in February 2012 on New Lenox Patch.

ComEd Wants You to Pay More for Electricity You Used Last Year

• The utility wants lawmakers to amend a 2011 rate-hike law to allow the utility to retroactively collect money for electricity already used.

Bank Robbed in Downtown Mokena

• The Chase Bank location in downtown Mokena was robbed Thursday, Sun-Times Media reports.

New Lenox Man Found Passed Out at the Wheel; DUI

• Mokena police arrested a New Lenox man for DUI, after he was found passed out at the wheel.

D122 Board Member to Broderick: 'Resign or I'll Sue'

• New Lenox school board member Maureen Broderick refused to resign, so Miller initiated the process for a civil suit in the ongoing election-related battle.
