ComEd Working to Restore Two Power Outages in New Lenox

87 customers lose power temporarily on the southwest side of town.

Two separate power outages this morning caused problems for residents of New Lenox.

Residents on the southwest side of town as well as the east side off of Schoolhouse Road are still without electrical power.  due electrical equipment problems.

The Commonwealth Edison alert system shows that 39 customers from the area just west of Nelson Road between Shagbark Road and Meadowridge Lane lost power this morning. Electrical equipment problems were noted.

Another 48 customers were affected by a power outage in the area east of Schoolhouse Road and south of Constitution Street. Residents living in the area of S. Center Avenue and E. Harvey Drive remain without power. The ComEd alert noted that the cause of that outage is still under investigation. However, resoration is expected about 11:30 a.m.

omEd crews are on the scene and expect to have equipment problems remedied by 11 a.m.
