COVID-19 Self-Tests Sold Out At Most LW Area Pharmacies
All but one Lincoln-Way area Walgreens were sold out Thursday of at-home COVID-19 tests, and only one CVS store had them in stock.

NEW LENOX, IL — Walgreens locations in the Lincoln-Way area were mostly sold out Thursday of at-home COVID-19 testing products like BinaxNow. The exception was Walgreens at 450 S. Schoolhouse Road in New Lenox, which listed online that it had BinaxNow tests available for purchase.
For CVS, Patch found one location at 2050 Nelson Road in New Lenox that had just received a shipment of at-home tests Thursday. The tests are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Earlier this week, Walgreens announced it was instituting a four-item purchase limit on at-home COVID-19 testing products in its stores and online. The decision was based on a nationwide surge in COVID-19 cases, according to the Deerfield-based company.

CVS followed suit with its own policy, allowing customers to purchase five at-home COVID-19 tests.

Walgreens is hoping the purchase limit will improve inventory, and said it will continue to work with supplier partners to meet customer demands.
