Armed Robbers Had Replica Guns, One Robber Killed: Police
One person is dead following an armed robbery early Saturday morning at Ryan's Pub, 7928 Lincoln Highway in Frankfort, according to Will County Sheriff's Deputy Chief Dan Jungles.
The WCSO said two armed men wearing masks, gloves and hoods went into the bar around 3:15 a.m. demanding money from patrons. The armed robbers threatened to shoot all of the patrons and employees if they did not comply with the robbers demands, according to the WCSO.

Man Accused In Alsip Gas Station Shooting Turns Self In: Cops
A south suburban man wanted for the shooting of a customer in November 2021 turned himself into Alsip police. William Snodey, 39, appeared Monday before Cook County Judge Linzie Jones on a charge of attempted murder.
A no-bail warrant had been issued in December for Snodey, who sometimes uses the name "John Searcy," when police said Snodey shot a 22-year-old Mount Greenwood man at the Shell station at 117th Street and Pulaski Road. Witnesses told police that the young man had tried to intervene when Snodey became confrontational with a female customer, the prosecutor said.

17-Year-Old Tinley Park Girl Killed, Person Of Interest In Custody: PD
A 17-year-old girl was killed Sunday night in Tinley Park, according to police.
Officials said Mia Maro, a student at Andrew High School, was found dead at a home in the 7800 block of West 167th Street Sunday shortly before 5 p.m.
'Verbally Threatening' Bandit Robs Credit Union In Evergreen Park: FBI
A man wearing white, clear gloves knocked off a credit union Friday afternoon in Evergreen Park, the FBI said. No injuries were reported.
Around 1:30 p.m., the feds said a man walked into Scott Credit Union, 9059 S. Kedzie Ave., Evergreen Park. The man verbally threatened bank employees and demanded money. The FBI said the man departed on foot. He did not display, nor did he imply having a weapon.
Fundraiser For Frankfort Bluegrass Festival Set For Friday At CD&ME
The Frankfort Bluegrass Festival is scheduled to return July 9-10, and organizers of the event are holding a fundraiser in preparation of the popular festival.
The fundraiser event is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at CD&ME, 23320 S. LaGrange Road in Frankfort. Tickets are $40 in advance or $45 at the door.
Mokena Family Raises Awareness, Funds For Those With Cystic Fibrosis
There are approximately 30,000 people in the U.S. who have cystic fibrosis, a rare genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas and other organs, according to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Two of those 30,000 are young boys who live right here in Mokena.
