Driver Rammed Into Walmart Employees In Parking Lot: NLPD

The incident happened at the New Lenox Walmart Wednesday, Nov. 29.

NEW LENOX, IL — No one was injured last week when an irate driver who had been asked to move their car in a store parking lot rammed into employees manning a forklift.

The incident took place at Walmart, 501 E. Lincoln Highway, on Nov. 29. Employees were using a pallet jack, or a forklift, to move containers in the store parking lot, when they asked a driver parked nearby to move their vehicle, according to police reports.

The driver "reversed the vehicle at a high rate of speed," then striking the pallet jack and containers being moved. The pallet jack then struck one of the employees.

The driver fled the area, according to police.

There were no serious injuries and no one required medical attention, according to reports.
