Drug Investigation Nets New Lenox Arrest: Blotter

TUESDAY, AUG. 13

Robert Walker, 40, of the 3500 block of William Street, Steger, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and speeding, according to a New Lenox police report. Police stopped Walker at about 12:25 a.m. near Interstate 80 and Route 30 for speeding. During the stop, the officer allegedly found that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Walker was taken to the Will County jail.

MONDAY, AUG. 12

Prescription medicine left on a bench while the owner left to play in a park was reported stolen, according to a report. The victim reported the theft, which happened in the 500 block of South Cedar Road, at about 5:31 p.m.

SUNDAY, AUG. 11

Zachery Somers, 19, of the 100 block of East Second Avenue, New Lenox, was charged with possessing marijuana and possessing drug equipment, according to a report. An investigation led to a search warrant on Somer's home. When officers executed the search warrant at about 9:30 p.m., they allegedly found marijuana and drug equipment. Somers posted bond and was released.
