Former New Lenox D122 Board Member Appointed To Fill Vacated Seat
Nicole Swallow was named Monday to take the seat formerly held by Kris O'Connor.
NEW LENOX, IL — A former New Lenox District 122 Board of Education member has taken a seat back on the board, filling one vacated by a recent resignation.
Board members at a special meeting on Oct. 30 appointed Nicole Swallow to the seat previously held by Kris O'Connor, who won his seat on the board in 2021. O'Connor announced his resignation from the board at its Oct. 17 meeting.
The Board previously established qualifications for the appointee, and issued notice of an application period. Swallow, who served on the board from April 2015–April 2023, sought to retain the seat. The appointment will last from Oct. 30, 2023 to April 2025.
