Illinois Highway In New Lenox Now Open After Water Main Break
The highway had been shut down for about three hours because of a water main break.
NEW LENOX, IL — Illinois Highway in New Lenox is now reopened after a section of the highway was closed for three hours Thursday morning, according to a new release from the Village of New Lenox.
The Village of New Lenox sent a notification to residents at 3:05 a.m alerting them of a water main break at Illinois Highway and Prairie Avenue. At 6:40 a.m., the Village sent a second notification that crews had to shut down Illinois Highway between Prairie Avenue and Cedar Road. Motorists were directed to detours during that time.
The final notification that the highway was reopened came at 9:29 a.m.
