Jam-packed New Lenox Summer Lineup Features Old And New Favorites

NEW LENOX, IL — The Village of New Lenox on Thursday released its lineup of summer events, keeping some old favorites and bringing back last year's newcomers.

Returning are the well-liked Cruise the Commons, Movie Nights, and Fridays After Five. Triple Play has been refreshed and renamed, now known as the New Lenox Summer Concert Series, with acts Smokey Robinson and Ringo Starr unveiled—so far.

Food Fight: Taco Fest is back for a second year on July 20, and "Adult" movie nights on select dates. Those aren't what you're thinking—get your minds out of the gutter, they're all rated PG-13—but instead, non-kids' movies aimed at providing a night away for a girls' night or date night.

The Village's special events series kicks off May 5, with the Loyalty Day Parade. Next up is the first Cruise the Commons, on May 21 at 5 p.m.
