Joliet Man, 46, Accused Of Recording Up Woman's Dress At Store: NLPD

The man told police he dropped his phone, and it had slid under the woman at Ross Dress For Less, according to police reports.

NEW LENOX, IL — A Joliet man is accused of using his cell phone to record up the dresses of women at a clothing store in New Lenox, police said.

Police were called to Ross, 475 E. Lincoln Highway, on Aug. 23 for a complaint of unauthorized recording, after a woman told police she saw a man using his phone to record up her dress.

The man, identified as Javier Jimenez-Bernal, 46, of Joliet, told police his phone "fell out of his hands and slid on the ground" under the woman's dress, according to police reports.

Jimenez-Bernal allowed police to search his phone, on which officials said they found a total of 11 videos capturing various women's buttocks underneath their dresses or skirts. Police said that it was clear from the videos that the women were unaware they were being recorded.

Jimenez-Bernal was charged with unauthorized video recording, and transported to the Will County Jail.
