Lincoln-Way District 210 Open Tuesday, Closed Wednesday

NEW LENOX, IL — Lincoln-Way District 210 will be in session Tues., Jan, 29, but will close Wed., Jan. 30, a spokeswoman with the district said.

However, officials will continue to monitor weather conditions before they decide whether classes will resume the rest of the week, said spokeswoman Jennifer Hannon.

Lincoln-Way kept its doors open Monday, as did many schools in south and southwest suburbs did. The National Weather Service Chicago said 3.7 inches of snow fell Sunday night into Monday morning.

Tuesday's highs are expected to be around 5 degrees. All eyes are on the weather forecast for Tuesday night into Wednesday, when temperatures are expected to drop to below -20 degrees with windchills of -30 degrees or lower.
