Lincoln-Way Central has a New Football Coach

Lincoln-Way Central Athletic Director Hud Venerable is the head coach for the Knights, Sun-Times Media reports.

At Lincoln-Way Central High School the administrative hierarchy for athletics has zero problem stepping up to the plate, or in this case, taking on the role of head coach for the varsity football Knights.

Hud Venerable, the athletic director for Lincoln-Way Central High School, is taking on the role of head football coach for the varsity Knights. While he oversees the 28 sports over three seasons at L-W Central, he's also working to shape a winning season for the Knights football team. Venerable replaces former head coach Brett Hefner, who stepped down at the conclusion of the 2012 season. The Knights ended the 2012 season with a record of 4-5, the Sun-Times Media reports.

The Knights will be playing in the Southwest Suburban Red Conference this fall. Still, they'll be facing Lincoln-Way East and Sandburg, both of which are in the Southwest Suburban Blue Conference, in the first couple weeks of the season.
