LW District 210 Begins Work On New Strategic Plan, Seeks Public Input

NEW LENOX, IL — The Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 Board of Education began the process of developing a new long-range strategic plan last month, working with consultant Dr. Robert Madonia to assist with establishing the plan over the next several months.

At its public meeting on Oct. 19, Dr. Madonia presented the strategic planning process to the Board, and they developed the goal areas to focus on in this new plan. Those areas of focus include Finance and Operations, Curriculum and Assessment, Community and Public Relations, Human Resources, and Student Outcomes.

There will be two opportunities for public input. The first opportunity to provide feedback on the focus areas is to complete this survey, which will accept responses through December 1st.
The second opportunity to participate in the process is serving on a committee that will be assembled for each focus area. The committees will meet from 6-9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20 and Thursday, December 21 to discuss which goals to prioritize in each of the five focus areas, and then district administrators will finalize the strategic plan using input from those meetings. A final strategic plan will then be adopted by the Board at a future meeting, and it will then be executed by the district administrative team.

Those interested in participating on a strategic planning committee must complete this form by Dec. 1.

The district previously underwent a strategic planning process during the 2016-2017 school year with the help of Dr. Madonia. A summary of outcomes from the 2017 strategic plan was presented to the Board of Education in December 2021, and can be found here. The new strategic plan will build upon the outcomes of the previous plan.
