2 Found Shot To Death Inside New Lenox Home: Sheriff

UNINCORPORATED NEW LENOX, IL — Will County Sheriff's police are investigating after a man and woman were found shot to death inside a home in unincorporated New Lenox Sunday night.

Police were called to the 23000 block of Spencer Road Sunday at 9:30 p.m. for a suspicious death complaint. A woman called 911 to report finding her parents fatally shot inside the home.

The woman had last spoken to them several days prior and had gone there to check on them, when she discovered them dead in a second story bedroom, according to police.

Police on scene found a 58-year-old man and 57-year-old woman dead by gunshot.

Detectives and crime scene investigators were called to investigate. Evidence recovered at the scene indicates that the incident was isolated and there is no danger to the public, police said.

The identities of the man and woman are being withheld pending autopsies by the Will County Coroner.
