Metra Train Station Project Begins This Week
The west parking lot area near Cedar Road will be closed to traffic to allow removal of the asphalt surface, sidewalk and curb.
Beginning Thursday, October 15, 2020 the west parking lot area near Cedar Road will be closed to traffic to allow the contractor to remove the asphalt surface, sidewalk and curb. All traffic will be required to use Prairie Road to access the parking areas. Access to Cedar Road will be closed. This work should take approximately two weeks.
The contractor is working on construction within the new building area. Parking is this construction area is prohibited.

Access to the train platform is restricted, pedestrians will need to access the new portion of the platform along the west side of the construction area for the new METRA station. Train riders will be able to park in the middle and east lots that have been recently resurfaced, and access the train platform via the new sidewalk installed along the west side of the building construction area.
