Multiple Vehicles Hit In Burglaries In New Lenox: Police

NEW LENOX, IL — Multiple vehicles were burglarized between approximately 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. Friday morning in New Lenox, Deputy Police Chief Micah Nuesse said. A total of six burglaries were reported, with several in the Heather Glen subdivision, Nuesse said.

The burglars were driving in a white Infinity SUV, which was captured on at least one New Lenox resident's home security video footage and shown on the Facebook post. The vehicle was reported stolen from a northern suburb, police said.

It is unclear exactly how many burglars were involved, Nuesse said.

The burglars have committed similar crimes in the Chicagoland area, and they are often seen with firearms while committing the crimes, police said.

The New Lenox Police Department is working with surrounding law enforcement agencies to find the burglars, police said.

New Lenox police are asking anyone who may have a camera system in or around their home to check for any suspicious activity and report the information to NLPD by calling (815) 462-6100, police said.
