New Lenox 2024 Tax Rebate Application Out, Deadline Approaches

The property tax rebate program will refund 50 percent of the Village-specific portion of taxes paid. Deadline to apply is Dec. 16.

NEW LENOX, IL — Property tax rebate applications for those eligible will soon be appearing in New Lenox residents' mailboxes, if they haven't already.

The Village this year will refund 50 percent of the Village of New Lenox’s portion of the 2023 property taxes that were paid in 2024 on owner-occupied homes in which they currently reside. This amount may be adjusted if the State of Illinois reduces the share of funding to the Village of New Lenox, the Village said.

The deadline to apply is Dec. 16. Checks are expected to be mailed on or around March 3, 2025.
