New Lenox Cruise The Commons Gets In Gear For Season May 21
The cruise nights take place the third Tuesday of every month, from May through September.
NEW LENOX, IL — The Village of New Lenox kicks off its summer of Cruise the Commons, with the first car show set for Tuesday, May 21.
These cruise night events will offer residents and visitors the opportunity bring their cars, trucks, Jeeps, and bikes and put them on display in the Village Commons. Cruise the Commons will take place from 5 to 8 p.m., on the third Tuesday of the month, from May through September.
- Tuesday, May 21: featuring music by Side Effects
- Tuesday, June 18: featuring music by Smoke & Mirrors
- Tuesday, July 16: featuring music by RetroActive
- Tuesday, August 20: featuring music by The M80s
- Tuesday, September 17: featuring music by Jaywalkers Jam Band
All interested drivers are invited to bring out their vehicles; there is no fee to participate. Vehicles of all makes and models are welcome, and registration is not required. There are no awards planned for this event. View the map for entrypoints into The Commons.

Parking
The Veterans Parkway ring road will be closed to thru traffic during this event to accommodate the event activities.Parking is available in the south lot of the Village Hall and behind Old Plank Trail Community Bank.

The New Lenox Public Library is open during this event. Attendees should leave their parking lot open for library patrons.
Accessible parking is available in the New Lenox Police Department's administrative lot, located to the southeast of the New Lenox Police Department.
Food & Beverage
Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for sale from the concession stand courtesy of the New Lenox Community Park District. Beer, hard seltzer, and hard lemonade will be available for sale, with sales located in front of the Village Hall.
Food trucks will also be on site at each event.

Reminders:
No smoking is permitted on the Village Commons lawn during Village events. No pets are permitted in the Village Commons during Village events. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome and encouraged.
