NL D122, Providence Catholic HS Closed, Move To E-Learning Friday

Campuses for D122 and Providence Catholic High School are closed Friday ahead of what's predicted to be a significant snowstorm.

NEW LENOX, IL — New Lenox District 122 schools and Providence Catholic High School will be closed Friday, a decision made in preparation for what's predicted to be a significant winter storm that could bring up to nine inches of snow with 50 mph wind gusts to the Chicago area.

The schools will instead shift to an e-learning day, according to administrators.

For Providence Catholic students, teachers will provide instruction, readings, materials and learning through Microsoft Teams no later than 8 a.m. Friday, the school announced. Students should check each of their class Teams for information and assignments.
